My Name – different shapes

I used illustrator to create shapes using the ‘rectangle tool’, the ‘Ellipse tool’ and the ‘Polygon tool’ to create a square, circle and triangle. With this I connected the shapes together using the pathfinder to merge shapes together using the ‘unite’ tool. Furthermore, I also subtracted shapes from each other using the ‘Minus Front’ tool, as shown in both images.

This was the outcome after using the ‘Minus front’ tool. I then used the ‘Unite’ tool to make it into one shape. I did this so i was able to move the object as one instead of highlighting it each time.

This is the final outcome when i created my name with the shapes I created.
